This was our first hotel in Lijiang so we had a little surprise when the taxi driver said he could only take us so close to the hotel. As we found with most of the area, cars are not allowed in the old town itself. Luckily enough the hotel is pretty much at the entrance to north gate area. It is quite a hike up the stairs to the entrance but once your up there you will quickly see why its worth it. The view from the room we had was amazing. It overlooked the entire town, and had its own quaint atmosphere which was very peaceful. It was very clean and the people were very nice to us, although we did not ask for much while we were there. Bar street is a 2 minute walk from here however I never found the noise much of an issue from our room during out stay.[2019-05-02 03:04]
